Requirements of the digital nomad visa in Malta
The Malta Nomad Residence Permit (MNRP) is the official name of Malta’s Digital Nomad Visa and offers digital nomads the opportunity to move to Malta and work remotely for up to one year, with the possibility of renewal. In order to be eligible for the Malta Nomad Residence Permit, all applicants must satisfy all the following criteria: Firstly, you must be a third-country national to prove that you can work remotely and have a contract outside of Malta and earn at least EUR 2,700 per month, gross of tax. You also must have health insurance covering all risks in Mala, hold of a valid property rental or purchase agreement and hold a valid travel document. Lastly, all digital nomad visa applicants must pass a background verification check.
